This week Dr. Hughes took us through the months Morbidity and Mortality cases. Dr. Shaw taught us what he has learned from the television show Scrubs. We learned about nausea and vomiting in pregnancy from Dr. Ferreri and ended the day with a minor care themed R3 small groups.

Next, Dr. Gauger took us through the toxicology and treatment of calcium channel blocker overdose. Dr. Bernardoni had a fantastic capstone combing a number of high yield visual diagnosis. Modi and Mand. Dr. Wolochatiuk reviewed chemical and electrical burns, and Dr. Lane and Lang reviewed the diagnosis and management of proctitis in their CPC. Dr. Humphries presented some fantastic cases of zebra diagnoses in the ED. Lastly, Dr. Soria concluded with her inquisitive thoughts from over the years.
Read MoreGrand Rounds kicked off this week with Dr. Axelson's final M&M of the year where we learned about hypertensive emergencies, 2nd & 3rd trimester vaginal bleeding, the care of the sick asthmatic, which bronchiolitics can go home and how exactly to treat the many forms of UTIs. Drs. Kircher and Murphy-Crews continued the learning with a case follow-up about intubating patients with airway stents and pediatric head injury, respectively. Our joint EM-Peds lecture rounded out the day with visual diagnoses in peds.
